Wheel hubs (1104) and front wheel bearings (1215) are installed as follows:

Each front wheel (1007) is bolted to a wheel hub.

The front wheel bearing assembly is pressed into the front wheel knuckle/bore from the inboard side until it rests against the shoulder on the
outboard side.

A snap ring is installed in a groove on the inboard side of the bore for added bearing retention.

The wheel hub assembly is pressed into the front wheel bearing located on the front wheel knuckle (3K1 86).

The front wheel driveshaft and joint splined shaft is pressed through the wheel hub.

A prevailing torque wheel hub retainer retains the wheel hub assembly to the front wheel driveshaft and joint (3B436).
