Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Removal

Window Regulator, Front

1.  Remove front door trim panel and front door trim shield. See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors

WARNING: IF THE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR COUNTERBALANCE SPRING MUST BE REMOVED OR
REPLACED FOR ANY REASON, ENSURE THAT THE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ARMS ARE IN A FIXED
POSITION PRIOR TO REMOVAL TO PREVENT POSSIBLE INJURY DURING C-SPRING UNWIND.

2.  Remove front door belt line inside weatherstrip and door window glass inner stabilizer.
3.  Remove front door window glass as outlined.
4.  Remove two nut and washer assemblies attaching the window regulator equalizer arm bracket.
5.  Remove three rivets attaching the front door power window regulator base plate to door inner panel.
