Voltage Meter
1.
Connect the positive lead of the voltmeter to the S terminal of the regulator wiring plug. Turn the ignition switch to the ``On.'' position. Do not
start the engine.
2.
The voltmeter reading should indicate battery voltage.
3.
If there is no voltage reading at the S terminal, check for voltage at the battery feed wire at the alternator.

If there is no voltage at the battery feed wire, check for an open fusible link or an open wire between the battery and the alternator.

If there is voltage, check for an open wire between the S terminal of the regulator wiring plug and the alternator or a defective alternator.
