Front Door Window Glass: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Remove front door trim panel and front door trim shield. See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors
2. Remove front door belt line inside weatherstrip.
3. Lower front door window glass to access holes in front door inner panel. Remove two rivets retaining front door window glass to front door
window channel bracket.
4. Loosen nut and washer retaining door window glass inner stabilizer.
5. Remove front door window glass by tipping it forward then removing from between door belt opening to outboard side of front door.
Installation
1. Install front door window glass into door. Make sure that front door window glass is set within front door glass run front retainer and front door
glass run latch side retainer.
2. Position front door window glass to front door window channel bracket. Install two rivets to secure front door window glass to front door window
channel bracket.
NOTE: Two 1/4-20 x 1-inch bolts and two 1/4-20 nut and washer assemblies may be used as alternates for glass retention. However, torque must
not exceed 4-7 N-m (36-61 lb-in). Equivalent metric retainers may be used.
3. Install front door belt line inside weatherstrip
4. Raise front door window glass to within 75 mm (3 inches) of full-up position and adjust front door window glass as outlined. Adjust and tighten
door window glass inner stabilizer as outlined.
5. Install front door trim shield and front door trim panel.
