ISSUE:
The rear door hinge and check roller assembly bolt may become loose and make a noise during opening and closing of the door.
ACTION:
Inspect the original 9M bolt to determine if it's loose. If the bolt is loose, replace it with a new locktite coated 10M bolt. Refer to the following procedure
for service details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove and discard the existing 9M bolt from the hinge assembly, refer to Figure 1.
2.
Enlarge the bolt hole by drilling with a 21/64" (8.4 mm) drill.
3.
Tap new threads in the hole using a 10 X 1.50 metric tap.
4.
Install new M10 bolt and torque to 30-47 Ft.Lbs. (40-64 N-m).
