Water Pump Bolt Pattern

3.

Position the water pump on the vehicle and install the bolts, torquing them to the specifications listed in the image.
NOTE:  If the water pump and pulley were removed as an assembly due to lack of clearance, make sure you position the pulley on the water pump
prior to positioning the water pump on the engine.  
Lightly oil all bolt and stud threads before installation, except those requiring special sealant.

Hand tighten the water pump pulley bolts.

5.

Install the automatic belt tensioner, tightening the fasteners to 16 lb. ft. (21 N-m).  

6.

Install the alternator and power steering drive belts.  Tighten the water pump pulley retaining bolts to 16 lb. ft. (21 N-m).

7.

Install the heater hose and tighten the clamp to 20-30 lb. in (2.3-3.4 N-m).

8.

Fill the cooling system with coolant and bleed.

9.

Connect the negative battery terminal, START the engine and check for leaks.
