2000 TAURUS
ISSUE
The 2000 model year Taurus was launched with four dealer order option package codes called LX, SE, SES, and SEL. These option codes were initially
just option codes. The vehicles only used two decklid emblems, the LX and SE. On May 24th, 2000 the Atlanta Assembly Plant and on July 25th, 2000
the Chicago Assembly Plant incorporated the new SES and SEL emblem because of field requests to differentiate the vehicles and their feature content.
ACTION
Add an "L" or "S" letter to upgrade the existing Taurus SE emblem. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
