15. Remove the driver seat rear nuts.

Vehicles with power seats

16. Tilt the driver seat toward the rear of the vehicle. Disconnect the ten-pin electrical connector.

17. Attach the Driver Safety Belt Pretensioner Restraint System Diagnostic Tool to the ten-pin floor electrical connector.

All vehicles

18. Remove the driver seat from the vehicle.

19. Remove the lower steering column opening cover with reinforcement.

Remove the retaining bolts.

Pull out to release the retaining clips and remove the lower steering column opening cover with reinforcement.

20. Disconnect the four-pin air bag sliding contact electrical connector at the base of the steering column.
