Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair
NOTE: Whenever a refrigerant line is replaced. it is also necessary that the suction accumulator/drier be replaced.
REMOVAL
1. Discharge system. Refer to System Discharging and Recovery. See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and Repair/Discharging and Recovery
2. Remove nut retaining A/C hose support bracket.
3. Disconnect suction accumulator/drier inlet tube from A/C evaporator core using Spring Lock Coupling Tool and position to improve access to
condenser to evaporator tube. Cap refrigerant line and A/C evaporator core to prevent entrance of dirt and moisture.
4. Disconnect condenser to evaporator tube from A/C evaporator core inlet using Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool T81P-19623-G1. Cap A/C
evaporator core inlet to prevent entrance of dirt and moisture.
5. Raise vehicle on hoist.
