Evaporative Fuel Vapor Return Hose: Service and Repair
Evaporative Emission System Components
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect Evaporative Emission (EVAP) return tube from the evaporative emission canister purge valve.
2. Disconnect EVAP return tube from the vacuum fitting on the upper intake manifold and remove the EVAP return tube from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Perform system leak check as follows:
a. Disconnect and plug EVAP return tube leading to the upper intake manifold at the upper intake manifold vacuum fitting.
b. Plug evaporative emission tube at the EVAP canister.
c. Using Rotunda Fuel Tank Leak Tester 134-R0003 or equivalent, pressurize the fuel system through the test fuel tank filler cap.
d. Verify that the pressure within the system does not decay.
e. If pressure does decay, determine the cause of the leak and then service.

Remove plugs and reconnect EVAP return tube to the upper intake manifold and the evaporative emission tube to the EVAP canister.
