4. With the template taped down, use a knife (or equivalent) to poke through the soft finish material surface of the rear window trim panel in the
dotted lined areas indicated on the template. After locating the area of tether anchorage, remove template and cutout hole in rear window trim
panel.
NOTE: The top surface of the rear window trim panel has a soft finish material for appearance and a rigid backing material directly beneath for
strength.
5. Carefully cutout both the soft material and the aligned rigid material beneath.
CAUTION: Do not exceed the boundaries of the perforation or the trim panel may be permanently damaged and require replacement.
NOTE: Perforation is found when the knife meets no resistance. Using a knife or equivalent, poke through the soft material and probe the area
between the dotted lines to find one of the two existing perforations in the rigid backing material directly underneath dotted lines on template.
6. Select the long tether strap anchor bracket from the kit.
