Exterior Rear Door Handle

Removal

1. Remove the rear door latch. For additional information, refer to Rear Door Latch  See: Rear Door Latch/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Rear Door Latch.

2. NOTE: Turn the exterior door handle cap bolt clockwise to loosen.

Use a T-5 torx socket installed on the bolt tip to loosen the exterior door handle cap bolt until the exterior door handle cap can be removed.

3. NOTE: Pull the exterior rear door handle outward and to the rear to release it from the rear door handle reinforcement.

Remove the exterior rear door handle.

4. If required, remove the exterior door handle gasket.

Installation

1. If required, install the exterior door handle gasket.

2. Insert the exterior door handle into the reinforcement, push forward and snap in place.

3. Install the exterior door handle cap.

Release the exterior door handle cap from the bezel.

Install the bezel and the exterior door handle bolt.
-

Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

Install the exterior door handle cap on the bezel.
