20. Remove the liftgate opening weatherstrip.
21. Remove the 3 headliner pin-type retainers from the rear of the headliner.
22. NOTICE: Make sure to correctly protect (masking tape) the headliner to avoid damage to the headliner from the exposed weatherstrip
butyl.
NOTICE: Some bending of the headliner edges may be required to fit the A-pillar and D-pillar areas through the liftgate opening. If it is
necessary to bend the headliner, always bend away from the fabric surface to avoid creasing the headliner surface.
Remove the headliner.

Lower the headliner.

Remove the headliner through the liftgate opening.
23. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
