Connect the new fuel filter inlet hose (straight end) to the top of the filter. Pass the hose through the clip and connect the other formed end to
the supply tube.

Check connections to insure push connectors are engaged.

Reconnect the inertia switch.

In addition to the above, a common ground with the fuel sending unit should be provided for the fuel pump. This will reduce resistance to ground
and improve fuel pump performance (pressure and flow to the throttle body).

Remove the rear seat cushion.

Pull back the carpet to expose the fuel tank grommet and wiring. (See Figure 6.)

3.

Remove the insulation wrapping to expose the four wires in the harness.

4.

Remove 1/2 inch of insulation from the "black" wire and the "black with green dot" wire.

5.

Solder together the "black" wire and the "black with green dot" wire and insulate with four wraps of ESB-M3G71-A cloth tape.

6.

Reinstall wiring harness insulation wrapping, carpet and seat cushion.

7.

Start the engine and check for fuel leakage.
