This modification is authorized only for the listed engines. Performing this modification on other engine calibrations is unauthorized and
could create liability under applicable federal or local laws.
To reduce service parts complexity, four EEC IV replacement processors have been approved to service 12 "production" processors shown in the chart
below.
However, when a new processor is installed, a modification decal must also be installed. The decal must include changes in processor part number,
vacuum retard delay valve replacement and idle hard stop adjustment. Refer to the chart on page 35.

# Replace vacuum retard delay valve with E3AZ-12A208-E for the air cleaner Duct and Valve Assembly. This is a Class B part.

Adjust idle hard stop screw, then adjust TV rod for proper automatic transmission operation.
Refer to the Calibration Application chart on page 35 for the proper hard stop and learned idle speeds.
Obtain an Authorized Modifications Decal and list the date, dealer number, and summary of alterations performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to
the Vehicle Emission Control Information Decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications Decal. Clean the area, install the decal, and cover it
with a clear plastic decal shield.
