Canister Purge Solenoid: Description and Operation
The canister purge solenoid is part of the Evaporative Emission Control System and is used with the Electronic Engine Control (EEC).
This valve controls the flow of vapors from the carbon canister to the intake manifold during various engine operating modes. This valve controls carbon
canister purging.
This is a normally closed valve that is opened by a signal from the electronic control assembly (ECA).
