Place a straight edge on either the front or rear mounting boss, Figure 1.
b.
Position it so that it extends to the other mounting boss.
c.
If the straight edge hits the other mounting boss, or shows a gap between the mounting boss and the straight edge, verify the condition by
performing the following inspection.
d.
Measure the length of the compressor front mounting boss, closest to the pulley, as indicated in Figure 2.
e.
Measure the rear compressor mounting boss. The two mounting bosses should be of equal length.
