ISSUE:
Some customers have mentioned poor appearance of outside door handles due to wax build-up which may be caused by wax material used by
many automatic car washes. The matte finish of the outside door handle(s) may retain the wax even after the rinse cycle, resulting in an
unsightly appearance that is hard to clean off.
ACTION:
To remove the wax build-up, use the following service procedure.
1.
Obtain a soft cotton rag and one (1) can of tar and road oil remover (B7A-19520-A).
2.
Wash the door handles with soap and water. Dry the door handles.
3.
Apply tar and road oil remover on the cotton rag and wipe the door handles. This will help dissolve and remove the wax build-up.

ISSUE:
Rear doors that will not open from the outside of the vehicle may be caused by a broken outside door handle release link. If the outside door
handle release link was installed incorrectly, a pre-load condition may cause the link to break at the base of the threads when the rear outside
door handle is used.
ACTION:
To correct this, install a new outside door handle release link. Refer to the following service procedure.
