Cut the wires between the vacuum switch assembly and the ignition module (leave the connection at the ignition module intact). Solder the wires
together to form a jumper at the ignition module. Tape the soldered joint, (Figure 1).

Advance the initial timing 4 ° from the nominal setting specified on the engine decal.

Remove the PCV valve EV-118 (E1DE-6A666-AA) and replace it with valve EV-76, Part No. D9DZ-6A666-A.
5.
Reset the idle and hi-cam speeds to the decal specifications.
