Brake Pedal Assy: Adjustments
Brake Pedal Travel
1.
With engine running in neutral or park position, block drive wheels, then release parking brake.
2.
Install brake pedal effort gauge No. 021-00001 or equivalent and check pedal travel, with 25 lbs. of pressure applied to brake pedal, travel should
not exceed 3.0 inches.
3.
If pedal travel exceeds specification, make several reverse stops with a forward stop before each.
4.
If travel still exceeds specification, remove brake drums and check brake adjusters, system may require brake bleeding.
