13. Remove spring insulators, if necessary.
14. If spring cages are to be removed for installation on new spring, use Coil Spring Compressor or equivalent to compress spring and remove cages.
Spring insulators should be installed on spring before installing spring in tool to prevent slipping of plates.
Installation
1. If a new spring is to be installed, it must first be compressed and caged. If original spring was removed with Spring Cages or equivalent, duplicate
the positions of the cages on the new spring. Install cages by first compressing spring in Spring Compressor or equivalent.
