18. Remove halfshaft assembly from vehicle.
19. Insert Differential Plug T89P-4850-B into rear axle housing to prevent loss of lubricant.
Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Remove Differential Plug T89P-4850-B.
2. Replace inboard CV joint stub shaft pilot bearing housing seal.
3. Install a new driveshaft bearing retainer circlip on inboard CV joint stub shaft pilot bearing housing.
NOTE: To install driveshaft bearing retainer circlip properly, start ends in groove and push driveshaft bearing retainer circlip into groove. This
will prevent overexpanding of the driveshaft bearing retainer circlip.
4. Lightly lubricate stub shaft splines with Constant Velocity Joint Grease (High Temp) E43Z-19590-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification
ESP-M1C207-A.
