Removal and Installation Removal | -
Remove the central junction box (CJB). | | -
Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap. | | -
CAUTION:If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water. Using a suitable syringe, remove brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir until the brake fluid level is at MIN mark. | | -
Install the brake fluid reservoir cap. | | -
CAUTION:Cap the clutch slave cylinder supply line to prevent fluid loss and dirt ingress. NOTE:Remove the locking plates to disconnect the hoses. NOTE:Do not remove the bolt between the two hoses. Disconnect the clutch master cylinder hoses. - Detach the clutch master cylinder supply hose from the clutch master cylinder and position it to one side.
- Disconnect the clutch slave cylinder supply line from the clutch master cylinder and position it to one side.
- Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

Remove the clutch master cylinder retaining bolts. | | -
Remove the clutch master cylinder. - Remove the clutch pedal return spring.
- Detach the clutch master cylinder actuating rod from the clutch pedal.
| Installation | -
Install the clutch master cylinder. - Attach the clutch master cylinder actuating rod to the clutch pedal.
- Install the clutch pedal return spring.

Install the clutch master cylinder retaining bolts. | | -
NOTE:Make sure that the locking plates are correctly seated. Connect the clutch master cylinder hoses. - Connect the clutch master cylinder supply line to the clutch master cylinder.
- Connect the clutch slave cylinder supply line to the clutch master cylinder.
- Install the locking plates.
