Removal and Installation

Brake hose clamp
Remove

1. Raise the vehicle and remove the front road wheel.

NOTE:

It is essential that a properly designed, purpose‐built hose clamp is used. Damage to flexible hoses is likely to result from using any other method.

2. Clamp the flexible brake hose.

3. Disconnect the brake hose at the caliper.
   Fit blanking plugs to prevent any excessive fluid loss or dirt ingress.

NOTE:

The top caliper retaining bolt cannot be completely disengaged but does allow the caliper to be removed.

4. Remove the caliper assembly.
Install

5. Refit the brake caliper.

6. Reconnect the brake hose to the caliper.
7. Refit the flexible brake pipe to the shock absorber.
8. Bleed the front brake circuits as described in Operation No. 12 141 0.
9. Install the road wheel, refer to specifications for wheel nut torque.
10. Lower the vehicle
11. Apply the footbrake to adjust the brake pads.
