Removal and Installation
Remove
1. Release the handbrake and raise the vehicle.

2. Slacken the handbrake adjuster.
1. Slacken the locknuts.
2. Rotate the adjuster.
3. Apply the footbrake to ensure the correct automatic adjustment.
4. Pull the handbrake lever up by three notches on the ratchet.

NOTE:

Ensure that the visible threads on each side of the adjuster are equal in length and that the thread is visible through the holes in the adjuster.

NOTE:

After final adjustment the handbrake lever should pull up three to five clicks.
5. Tighten the handbrake adjuster.
1. Hand tighten the adjuster.
• The rear brakes should now be on and should not be able to be turned by hand.
2. Tighten the adjuster locknuts.
