Removal and Installation

CAUTION:

Care must be taken to avoid spilling brake fluid onto painted surfaces. If spillage occurs it must be washed off immediately with cold water.

Remove

1. Raise the vehicle.

2. Detach the spring/nipple from the bush.
1. Remove the retaining clip.
2. Unhook the spring/nipple from the bush.

3. Disconnect the brake pipes from the load apportioning valve.
• Fit blanking plugs to the pipes to prevent excessive fluid loss.
• If the valve is to be re‐used fit blanking plugs to the ports.

4. Remove the load apportioning valve.
Install

5. Refit the load apportioning valve.
6. Reconnect the brake pipes to the load apportioning valve.
7. Bleed the brake system as described in Operation No. 12 141 0.
8. Refit the spring/nipple to the bush.
9. Adjust the load apportioning valve as described in Operation No. 12 136 0.
