Remove

1. Disconnect the battery earth lead.
Belt – Power Steering – Pump Drive – Replace (13 424 0)

2. Remove the pump drive belt – variants with PTC.
1. Rotate the belt tensioner in a clockwise direction.
2. Remove the belt and release the belt tensioner.

3. Remove the pump drive belt – variants with air conditioning.
1. Rotate the belt tensioner in a clockwise direction.
2. Remove the belt and release the belt tensioner.

4. Disconnect the pipe and hose from the power steering pump.
1. Remove the high pressure pipe clamp bolt.
2. Disconnect the high pressure pipe.
3. Disconnect the low pressure hose.
• Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

5. Remove the power steering pump pulley.
1. Hold the centre of the pulley with an Allen key.
2. Remove the three bolts.

6. Remove the power steering pump.
Install

7. Refit the power steering pump.
   Refit the three front bolts first.

8. Refit the power steering pump pulley.
1. Hold the centre of the pulley with an Allen key.
2. Refit the three bolts.

9. Refit the pump drive belt.

10. Reconnect the pipe and hose to the power steering pump.
1. Refit the high pressure pipe clamp bolt.
2. Reconnect the high pressure pipe.
3. Reconnect the low pressure hose.
11. Reconnect the battery earth lead.
12. Bleed the power steering system as described in Operation No. 13 416 1.
