Remove

1. Remove the grease seal.
2. Remove the inner and outer bearing cones.

CAUTION:

Take care not to raise burrs in the hub as this may prevent the new cups from seating properly.

3. Remove the bearing cups.
   Tap alternately at diametrically opposite points of the of the cup. Do not allow the cup to tilt in the hub.
4. Clean the hub assembly and discard the old bearing assemblies.
Install

CAUTION:

Ensure the cups fit tightly against their abutment faces.

CAUTION:

The cup and cone assemblies must be from the same manufacturer.

CAUTION:

It is essential that the grease and bearings do not get contaminated.

5. Refit the inner and outer bearing cups.

6. Pack the cone and roller bearings with grease.
7. Refit the bearing cones.
8. Clean the grease seal housing and apply a coating of sealant to the periphery of the seal.

9. Refit the grease seal.
   Remove any surplus sealant.
10. Fill between the seal journal lips and coat the face lip with grease.
