Removal and Installation
Remove

WARNING:

Before removing the air bag module take note of WARNINGS given in Operation Number 40 700 0.
1. Remove the air bag module from the steering wheel (refer to Operation Number 40 700 0).
2. Remove the steering wheel (refer to Operation Number 13 524 0).

3. Remove the multifunction switch assembly (wipers/lights).

4. Remove the multifunction switch assembly (direction indicators/horn/ dipper).
1. Remove two screws.
2. Disconnect the multiplug.
Bezel - Instrument Cluster - Remove (33 212 0)
5. Remove four screws and remove the bezel.

6. Remove six screws retaining the instrument cluster.

NOTE:

Pull/ease the instrument cluster forwards to disconnect the multiplugs.
7. Disconnect four multiplugs and remove the instrument cluster.

8. Remove four nuts retaining the instrument cluster facia.

9. Remove two screws and remove the instrument cluster facia.

10. Remove the tachograph.
1. Remove two nuts.
2. Remove two retaining brackets.
3. Slide the tachograph forwards to remove.
Install

WARNING:

Always centralise the clockspring before refitting the steering wheel (refer to Operation Number 33 392 0). Failure to follow this instruction can result in personal injury.

WARNING:

When refitting the steering wheel ensure that the clockspring engages correctly on the steering column (refer to Operation Number 13 524 0). Failure to follow this instruction can result in personal injury.
11. Refit the components in the reverse order.
Bezel - Instrument Cluster - Install (33 212 0)

Sender Unit - Fuel Tank (Petrol) - Remove And Install (33 286 0) > < Sender Unit - Fuel Tank (Diesel) - Remove And Install (33 286 0)
