Removal and Installation
Remove
1. Fully close the door window.

CAUTION:

Disconnect the battery negative lead.
2. Remove the door trim panel (refer to Operation Number 43 705 0).

CAUTION:

Do not touch the adhesive surface as re‐bonding will be impaired. Do not attempt to peel the water shield from the door without cutting the Butyl bead using a plastic knife.
3. Peel back the door insulation.

4. Remove the door remote control handle.

WARNING:

Support the window to stop it dropping.
5. Drill out the lock shield panel fixing rivets.

6. Cut the PU adhesive (fixing the lock shield to the outer door skin).

7. Remove the door window guide runner.
   Remove one screw and pull down to displace the locating clip on the top of the guide.

8. Remove the three lock fixing screws and displace the lock.
9. Disconnect the lock motor multiplug (where applicable).

10. Detach the barrel operating rod and remove the lock assembly.
   Open the clip and push out the rod.

11. Remove the protective cover from the lock.
   Carefully unclip the cover.

12. Detach the remote control cable.
• Release the outer cable from the bracket.
• Align the inner cable and lift out.

13. Remove the lock motor (where fitted).
• Two screws.
• Twist to disconnect the operating rod.
Install
14. Refit components in reverse order.
