9. Remove the four rear wheel spindle-to-rear axle nuts.
10. Remove the four rear wheel spindle-to-rear axle bolts.
11. Remove the rear wheel disc brake adapter and parking brake components as an assembly and the rear wheel spindle from the rear axle.
INSTALLATION
1. Inspect all parts for wear or damage. Repair or replace as necessary.
2. Position the rear wheel disc brake adapter and the rear wheel spindle on the rear axle.
3. Install the four rear wheel spindle-to-rear axle bolts.
4. Install the four rear wheel spindle-to-rear axle nuts. Tighten to 65-80 Nm (48-59 ft lb).
5. Install the parking brake rear cable and conduit in the parking brake cable bracket and onto the parking brake lever.
6. Install the rear brake antilock sensor and rear brake antilock sensor bolt. Tighten to 8-10 Nm (71-88 in lb).
7. Install the rear hub, inner and outer bearings and wheel hub grease seal as an assembly. Use care not to damage the seal.
8. Install the washer and rear hub nut. To set bearing preload, tighten the rear hub nut to 24-31 Nm (18-22 ft lb) while rotating the rear hub. Back off
the nut and retighten to 2.1 Nm (18.6 in lb).
9. Install the rear hub nut retainer and a new cotter pin.
10. Install the hub grease cap.
11. Install the rear disc brake rotor.
12. Install the rear disc brake caliper.
13. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tighten the lug nuts to 135 Nm (100 ft lb).
14. Pump the brakes until the brake warning light goes out and a solid brake pedal feel is obtained.
CAUTION: Do not move the vehicle until the brakes have been tested. Lower the vehicle and start the engine to energize the power brake system.
15. Road test vehicle.
