Wheel Bearing: Adjustments
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire.
2. Remove hub grease cap, then remove cotter pin and lock plate.
3. Torque hub nut to 17-23 ft lb while rotating hub.
4. Loosen hub nut 2 to 3 turns, then torque hub nut to 18 in lb.
5. Install hub nut lock plate and a new cotter pin. If it is necessary to turn hub nut to align lock plate turn hub nut only clockwise.
6. Install hub grease cap, then wheel and tire.
7. Lower vehicle and tighten lug nuts to 85-105 ft lb.
