LIGHT TRUCK:
1995 WINDSTAR
CALIBRATION:
4-625-R10, 4-62J-R10
ISSUE:
A stack up of production tolerances, in combination with sensitivity of EEC-V (OBD-II) calibrations, may result in MIL light illumination and/or the
O/D light flashing. When this occurs, the following DTC codes may appear:
^
ENGINE CODES
^
1403 (DPFE) hoses reversed
^
1406 Downstream hose off or plugged
^
1473 Fan secondary high with fan(s) off
^
1479 High fan control primary circuit malfunction
^
1480 Fan secondary low with low fan on
^
1481 Fan secondary low with high fan on
^
1505 IAC airflow exceeds specifications
^
TRANSAXLE CODES
^
P0731 1-2 shift concern
^
P0732 2-3 shift concern

P0733 3-4 shift concern
ACTION:
Use the following Service Procedure to determine if the EEC-V PCM requires replacement or reprogramming with a revised calibration.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Perform the EEC-V Self Test. If any of the listed codes appear, reprogram the PCM by following the SBDS instructions. Use SBDS
reprogramming tool, June 94" CD-ROM or later. If SBDS is not available, replace the PCM with a new service PCM. Refer to the PCM
Application Chart.
2.
Test drive the vehicle and perform the EEC-V Self Test. Confirm that there are no DTC codes. If any codes appear, refer to the 1995 Powertrain
Control/Emissions Diagnosis (OBD-II) Service Manual. Service as required.
