PURPOSE
The evaporative emission canister purge valve is a normally closed valve in the fuel vapor emission control system. When engine is off, the
evaporative emission canister purge valve is not energized and is in a closed, non-flowing condition.
OPERATION
The evaporative emission canister purge valve is connected in-line between the evaporative emissions canister and throttle body vacuum fitting.
The operation of the evaporative emission canister purge valve is controlled by the powertrain control module. When engine is off, the
evaporative emission canister purge valve is not energized and is in a closed, non-flowing condition.
