Install the fuel tank brace. See Figure 1. The brace will be anchored by the fuel tank strap bolt.
On 20 gallon fuel tanks, install the brace at the front strap mounting location.
On 25 gallon fuel tanks, install the brace at the mid-strap mounting location.
NOTE:
If a strong fuel odor is present or fuel seepage from the fuel tank is noted when installing the brace, call the Recall Hotline at 1-800-325-5621 for
further directions.

Raise the fuel tank to the installed position.

Install the redesigned fuel tank strap (front strap on the 20 gallon fuel tank, mid-strap on the 25 gallon fuel tank). Tighten the strap bolt(s) to 41-54
Nm (30-39 lb-ft).
9.
On the 25 gallon fuel tank, install the front fuel tank strap. Tighten the strap bolt(s) to 41-54 Nm (30-39 lb-ft).
10.
Lower the vehicle. Turn on the air suspension, if equipped.
11.
Replace the fuel that was removed from the tank.
