When only DTC 01818 is indicated, follow Pinpoint Test "J" in the Windstar Service Manual, Pages 04-05-32 to 04-05-36. An additional action
should be performed in Pinpoint Test J23. in the "Action to Take" column and before the "GO to J24" line, the following should be performed:
Perform wiggle test. If no trouble is found, replace the GEM with revised component.
