ISSUE:
The driver or passenger shoulder belt may twist or be difficult to untwist. The D-ring on the seat belt assembly was designed to ease the untwisting of the
belt by the customer, but may tend to contribute to seat belt twist.
ACTION:
Replace the seat belt assemblies with new belts which have a revised D-ring design. Replace both the driver's and passenger 5 side seat belts to maintain
a uniform appearance. The revised D-ring has a smaller opening for the belt to pass through, reducing the possibility of seat belt twisting. Refer to the
1995 Windstar Service Manual, Page 01-20A-9 for removal and installation details.
