Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect brake unit push rod from brake pedal.

2.

Remove two master cylinder to power brake unit mounting nuts.

3.

Position master cylinder away from brake unit, leaving brake lines attached. Do not bend, or kink brake lines.

4.

Disconnect vacuum hose from vacuum check valve. cap all open hose ends and fittings to prevent contamination.

5.

Remove power brake unit to dash panel attaching nuts, then the brake unit.

6.

Reverse procedure to install.
