Air Cleaner Hose

EVAP Cannister

EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CANISTER REPLACEMENT

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.

Loosen the Air Cleaner (ACL) hose clamp bolt.

3. Four cap clips from ACL.
4. ACL hose and cap from engine compartment.
5. Two clamps and Evaporative Emission (EVAP) hoses from EVAP canister.
6. One vacuum hose from EVAP canister.
7. One bolt and EVAP canister from EVAP canister bracket.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. EVAP canister to EVAP canister bracket; secure with one bolt. Tighten EVAP canister bracket bolt to 20 Nm (15 lb. ft.).
2. One vacuum hose to EVAP canister.
3. Two EVAP hoses to EVAP canister; secure with two clamps.
4. ACL hose and cap to engine compartment.
5. Four cap clips to ACL. Tighten ACL hose clamp bolt to 2.5 Nm (24 lb. in.).
6. IAT sensor electrical connector.
7. Negative (-) battery cable. Tighten negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
