Fuel Gauge Sender: Description and Operation
DESCRIPTION
The fuel gage sending unit consists of a float, float arm and a variable resistor. Fuel level is measured by the position of the float in the fuel tank,
and is indicated by a gage in the instrument cluster.
OPERATION
When the fuel level changes the float position changes. The change in the float position increases/decreases the resistance of the variable resistor,
which changes the position of the fuel gage needle.
