Fuel Pump Relay: Service and Repair
Circuit Opening (Fuel Pump) Relay
CIRCUIT OPENING (FUEL PUMP) RELAY REPLACEMENT
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Center console.
3. Circuit opening relay electrical connector.
4. One bolt and circuit opening relay from Instrument Panel (I/P) bracket.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Circuit opening relay to I/P bracket; secure with one bolt. Tighten circuit opening relay bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb. in.).
2. Circuit opening relay electrical connector.
3. Center console.
4. Negative (-) battery cable. Tighten negative (-) battery cable-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
