Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
1.
Remove locknut cap and bearing locknut.
2.
Remove brake caliper and support with wire.
3.
Remove disc brake rotor.
4.
Separate tie rod from steering knuckle using tie rod puller tool No. J-6627-A, or equivalent.
5.
Remove lower ball joint bolt and nuts and separate it from lower control arm.
6.
Remove two strut to steering knuckle nuts.
7.
Install drive joint protector tool No. J-34754, or equivalent.
8.
Tap driveshaft with a plastic hammer and drive out driveshaft.
9.
Remove two strut to steering knuckle bolts.
10.
Remove steering knuckle assembly.
11.
Reverse procedure to install.
