Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair
Rear Suspension

1.

Raise and support vehicle. Place jack stand under suspension support, not suspension arms.

2.

Remove rear wheels, then left and right stabilizer bar links.

3.

Remove right and left stabilizer bar bushing retainers. Scribe marks between stabilizer bar bushings, stabilizer, and body.

4.

Remove stabilizer bushings.

5.

Remove resonator/intermediate pipe assembly from catalytic converter.

6.

Remove resonator/intermediate pipe assembly from muffler/tail pipe assembly.

7.

Remove muffler/tail pipe assembly attaching bolts, then muffler/tail pipe assembly from hanger.

8.

Remove intermediate pipe heat shield, then right fuel tank band.

9.

Support crossmember with jack, then remove six bolts attaching crossmember to body.

10.

Remove stabilizer bar.

11.

Reverse procedure to install, tighten all nuts and bolts to specifications.
