Clutch Linkage: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect negative battery cable.

2.

Raise and support vehicle.

3.

Disconnect clutch hydraulic line.

4.

Remove two mounting bolts and actuator.

5.

Reverse procedure to install. Bleed as follows:
a. Clean top and sides of reservoir to ensure no foreign material enters system.
b. Remove cap and fill reservoir with suitable brake fluid.
c. Connect one end of a clear vinyl tube to bleeder screw and insert other end of tube into a half filled container of brake fluid.
d. Slowly pump clutch pedal several times.
e. While pumping clutch pedal, loosen bleeder screw until fluid starts to runout.
f.

Tighten bleeder screw.

g. Repeat procedure until no air bubbles exist in escaping fluid.
