1.
Remove rear axle hub as outlined under REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
2.
Unstake wheel bearing locknut and remove.
3.
Remove axle shaft from hub assembly using a bearing removal tool Nos. J-22912, J-38278 and J-8433, or equivalent, Figs. 2 and 3.
4.
Remove bearing inner and outer race.
5.
Remove oil seal from axle shaft using seal installer/remover tool No. J-26941, or equivalent, and slide hammer.
6.
Reverse procedure to install, using a new bearing locknut.
