Removal

1.

Raise and support vehicle.

2.

Drain fluid from transaxle and remove oil pan.

3.

Remove oil strainer, oil tube bracket and five oil tubes.

4.

Remove manual valve detent spring and three solenoid electrical connectors.

5.

Remove 12 valve body bolts and lower valve body slightly to unhook throttle valve cable end from throttle valve cam.

6.

Disconnect manual valve connecting rod, then remove valve body, valve body gasket and intermediate clutch apply passage O-ring seal.

Installation

1.

Install a new intermediate clutch apply passage O-ring seal.

2.

Install a new valve body gasket on valve body.

3.

Install valve body to transaxle attaching manual valve and throttle cable valve.

4.

Install 12 valve body bolts and torque to 84 inch lbs.

5.

Connect three solenoid electrical connectors and install manual valve detent spring. Torque manual valve detent spring retaining bolts to 84 inch
lbs.

6.

Install five oil tubes and oil tube clamp bolt and bracket. Torque oil tube clamp bolt to 84 inch lbs.

7.

Install oil strainer and new gasket.

8.

Install oil pan and fill transaxle to proper level.
