Evaporator Core: Service and Repair
1.
Disarm airbag system as outlined under ``Airbag System Disarming.''
2.
Discharge air conditioning system using a suitable A/C recovery system.
3.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
4.
Remove right side kick panel and glove box assembly.
5.
Disconnect evaporator outlet and inlet pipe and plug hoses and evaporator openings.
6.
Disconnect hold-down brackets for inlet and outlet pipes.
7.
Remove air conditioning amplifier electrical connector then the amplifier.
8.
Disconnect evaporator thermistor connector.
9.
Remove evaporator case from vehicle.
10.
Separate evaporator case halves then remove thermistor from evaporator.
11.
Remove evaporator from case.
12.
Reverse procedure to install, rearming airbag as outlined under ``Airbag System Arming.''
