INOPERATIVE FUEL GAUGE/INTERMITTENT FLASHING OR LOSS OF SOME INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS

CONDITION:
Fuel gauge could be inoperative and/or intermittent flashing or loss of some instrument panel lights.
CAUSE:
During vehicle assembly the instrument panel could come in contact with the steering column attachment bracket causing damage to the instrument
cluster printed circuit board.
CORRECTION:
Prior to replacing an inoperative fuel gauge, verify that the printed circuit board on the backside of the instrument cluster has not been damaged. Visually
inspect the circuits on the lower edge of the printed circuit board and replace the circuit board, P/N's 94853135 - Base and 94853142 - with Tachometer,
if any damage is visible. Damage to the printed circuit board may also cause intermittent flashing or loss of some instrument cluster warning lights.
