Knee Bolster: Service and Repair

1.

Remove retaining clips and left front sill plate.

2.

Loosen two screws and remove hood latch release handle from knee bolster.

3.

Remove two bolt covers from front of knee bolster.

4.

Remove four bolts and the knee bolster from instrument panel, disconnecting lap cooler air outlet from lap cooler air duct.

5.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten to specifications.
b. Rearm airbag system as described under ``Airbag System Arming.''
