Fuel Filter: Service and Repair
Fuel Filter Location
REMOVAL:
1.
Remove fuel filler cap.
2.
Disconnect the fuel hoses from the fuel filter.
3.
Remove the fuel filter.
4.
Install the fuel filler cap.
INSPECTION:
1.
The fuel filter must be replaced if there is leakage from the fuel filter body, or if the filter body itself is damaged.
2.
The fuel filter should be changed at regularly scheduled intervals, or when it is clogged with dirt or sediment.
INSTALLATION:
1.
Reconnect the fuel hoses to the fuel filter inlet and outlet, be sure the hoses are not reversed.
2.
Attach the fuel filter securely with the clips.
3.
Start vehicle and check for fuel leaks.
